What I Believe…

You know when you burp out loud, or when you don’t like to wear dresses, or would rather play video games than go shopping… And you hear people say, “That so not lady-like!” Well I have been told that many times. And sometimes I see it as I grow older; that apperently we still have “roles” to play for each gender. Or that when ever it comes to picking stuff up people just say I can just take one thing while the rest carry two things. Sometimes it frustrates me when I hear people say that men can do this better. Or its really more of a male thing, etc, etc…

Well I here’s what I have to say to that, and starts out with this beginning paragraph:

What I believe is that anyone can do anything they set their minds to. And it is not that we should judge them based on what they are or what they look like. But we should judge them by their action’s. We shouldn’t deny them of their wishes, nor should we doubt them without even giving them a chance.

“Everyone is not the same..” A quote that is said by all at some point in their life. But a quote I don’t think everyone can fully understand. For if it really means that everyone is not the same, then why do people still say when it comes to the topic of genders; that females are all the same and males are all the same. In other words, don’t use the phrase “everyone is different” If you don’t really know what it means.

For anyone who doesn’t get this so far. And what I am trying to get at is that the next time you hear someone saying that only guys can do that or someone says to you that its not lady like just remember this one thing:

“6. the amendment: Thou Shall not Kill”

 

A shooting that took place around 9 p.m. on June 17, 2015, at the Emanuel AME Church on Calhoun Street, as a meeting was taking place. As a result, nine people have died. Charleston PD Chief Greg Mullen said, “I do believe it was a hate crime.” The suspect is identified as white, clean-shaven, male  a slim build, approximately 21 years old, who was wearing a gray sweatshirt, jeans, and boots And his name Dylann Roof. An Associated Press reporter on the scene says police helicopters with searchlights circled overhead in the area, as a group of pastors prayed across the street for it was a lamentable day for everyone.

The nine people who were shot were senior pastor, state senator Clementa C. Pinckney. The tenth victim however, survived. The morning after the attack police have arrested the suspect Dylann Roof in Shelby, North Carolina. Who later confessed on killing the nine people hoping to start a race war. A website apparently published by Roof a myriad of pieces, including a manifesto detailing his beliefs on race, as well as several photographs showing him posing with emblems associated with white supremacy. Roof’s photos of the Confederate battle flag triggered debate on its modern display.

I have visited South Carolina for vacation in Hilton Head Island. We visited Charleston, South Carolina for two days. And surprisingly enough we visited the church itself a year before the event. It is a nice place. It is filled with history itself, and a nice atmosphere to it. The people there were nice and welcoming. I got to church in Granger. Hope to never have the shootout happen to us. In our church we also have a Black priest who is a very nice and interesting priest. Also cross from the entrance of the church there is a house that has the confederate flag hanging there. I don’t believe they are racist but one really never knows now do they?

When the price of flour sky rocketed, the people (peasants) of France became outraged and resentment of the royal extravagance hit its volatile peak. Three Estates (classes) existed consisting of the Nobility, the Clergy & the People. Two of the three estates (Nobility & Clergy) could always beat out (out vote) the last (the People). Lawyer Maxamillion Robes Pierre and activist, Jean-Paul Marat rose to become powerful, vociferous leaders in the French Revolution. Besides rallies, speeches and demonstrations along with posters, cartoons and paintings to propagate the crusade, the Guillotine and the Bastille came to symbolize the strength of the movement.

Gay-Marriage legalized? FABULOUS!!

“Supreme Court has ruled that same­sex couples have the constitutional right to

You read right. It is June 26, 2015, in Washington D.C. where the Supreme

Court has just legalized same­sex marriage for people all around the country of

the United States of America! But before this event could take place; as it is

known for many years allowing gay couple’s marriage has been a controversial

situation for years. How gay­marriage was legalized was from 5­4 ruling in

Obergefell v. Hodges declares that the 14th Amendment requires all states to

perform same­sex marriages and recognize same­sex marriages performed in

other states. What happen was gay couple were requesting the right to be on his

husband’s death certificate but in Ohio they refused.

This is not the first time gay couples were rejected as many others have had

the same situation that have been taken to court. Finally the Supreme court make

a decision to whether or not to legalize same­sex marriage. As there out outside

the supreme court there were a myriad crowds of people protesting for gay­right

marriages. Many waiting for the Supreme Court Decision On June 26th, 2015 in

Washington D.C., United States, where the Supreme court made their decision

and voted to legalize gay­marriage. A day to reminisce forever to all of us.

My opinion in this event is I have always supported gay marriage. I believe

that there is nothing wrong with gay­marriage at all. It’s bassically two people

that are in love with each and just want eternal happiness just like a straight

couple. And oddly enough I am friends with a lot of people from different

countries and where I am here to who are gay. I remember one time though when

we were going to see my cousins conformation at Sac City, in Iowa. The bishop

was there and usually at this time he makes a speech towards the students, what

happened in the speech was more shocking for me in my point of view as he

starts saying that it is a sin to be gay and marrying the same sex is wrong, and

that you will go to hell for it… What made it worse was there was a gay person

who was in the room that does a lot of volunteer work for the church itself. It

surprised me because I believe that in my faith God wants us to love all and treat

everyone with kindness. Hearing that from a holy person with hateful words was

insidious to me.

Adoptee Rights – 14th Amendment…EQUALITY

I got the chance to write about the different types of adoption and address one of the questions assigned by my professor in my legal class. The question was – what are the legal rights of an adoptee?
Well, as you can imagine most people, who aren’t adopted, would simply look into the text book and pull out the information that is commonly sold to the public.
Textbook terms: Adoptees legal rights are the same as a biological child. Adoptees have the right of inheritance from their adoptive family. In some states, adoptees may even be able to inherit through their birth families (but their birth families cannot inherit through them).

Anyways, I’d like to address this to anyone who might read this.Most of my teen life I think I battled with my identity, unknowingly, I always felt like the coddled child amongst my peers or that I wasn’t as sharp…
